If I try launching with the play button next to my team in the overview, I get some sort of "application can't run" message from Java.
So someone very nice was able to take me through all the steps to joining a game using the Java Bbowl Setup.
Host: fumbbl.com
Port: 8081
(check) Proxy: [other player's name]
Team 1: http://fumbbl.com/teams/[my team's name]
and under options, FUMBBL Login is checked
But when I hit "jon game" the java Bbowl program tells me:
Unknown host name. (with a little referee beside it)
What am I doing wrong?
It was suggested that my firewall was the problem. So I set it to allow Java Web Start, but that has not fixed the problem.
Any suggestions? |

the "proxy" is not necessacerily (sp?) the other players name. It can be whatever the host names the game
So I could say...."proxy is...pie" and you would have to put "pie" in the proxy box
So check with the host about the proxy name. Also be sure you are the cllient.
all i can think of atm.
good luck |

Well, yes. I was typing the proxy by what the host told me was the proxy, which I guess happened to be his name.
And I was checked as client. (forgot to mention that)
Any other help? |
