Kyykkä does not include alcohol, neither does it include knife fights. That's where the Swedish/Danish viking part comes in to meddle.
AFAIK, kyykkä used to be a peaceful sport played at traditional festivals, as well as a way of "proving our tribe is better than yours" without bloodshed. |
