Don't know if this is already a feature of the site. But maybe the PM's could be emailed to the recipients as well. Router issues could exist for the user or they may not check the site very often. There may be other reasons that this could be useful as well.

I would say not to email, but perhaps have an option to have the PMs emailed, so those of us who check the site don't have to worry about more mail clogging our inboxes
