Hi all,
During a recent match, my opponent got a knuckleduster at kick off, but we couldn't figure out how to use it.
In the LRB it says you have to declare you're using it at the start of any turn, after which it can be used by anyone. In our game, however, we noticed that it was assigned to a specific player as a skill (which my opponent had to choose).
How to activate it (this quesiton applies more generally to these kinds of action/special ability)? I searched the forums already but couldn't find anything about this.
Thanks in advance! |

The handicap "knuckledusters" is the same as Mighty Blow which is automatic in the client.
I am sure it is in the LRB somewhere .

It is automatically activated . It gives the player mighty blow and hence he is just treated as having it.
For skills that require activating (leap chainsaw etc) you need to click on their name in the list to activate them, and on another skill to deselect them when used. |

Thanks guys - I thought the knuckleduster gave an automatic knock down - that's what LRB 5 (page 41) says. In the game however my opponent rolled a skull and wasn't offered any option.
Sounds like you're right - is the Java not using LRB 5 rules then? |

Correct, lots of new rules that require lots of changes. SkiJunkie is just one man, so it will be a while. |

We are currently playing with LRB 4. But I for one are hoping that we some day will play with LRB 5. |

LRB5 is superior to LRB4, despite what the loud minority says to the contrary. Still, fumbbl is using LRB4 at the moment. |

Well, it's amazing to me that we have any LRB/client to use at all!
I'm delighted that I can play anywhere in the world, without having to spend time, effort and (most importantly?) money collecting miniatures - not to mention having to travel to local meets.
Three cheers for SkiJunkie! A monumental & altruistic effort that we all enjoy and appreciate |

not sure yet, but I think it has really more potential than LRB4. Maybe it will need some adjusting. |
