Frenzy blitz dump off interception
No, this is not a random collection of BB terms in the subject ... i just caught an interception with a troll slayer while blitzing the ball carrier (him using dump off). might make sense rule wise of course (since despite needing an 8+ on my interception roll, a 6 always works), but fluff wise this is somewhat difficult to imagine.

let's give it a try: he comes running, head and shoulder first (being frenzy mind!) trying to down the ball carrier with all his focus and when this guy makes a desperate attempt of dumping off the ball on short distance to a team mate my clumsy but apparently very alert troll slayer briefly and immediately interrupts his frenzyness (first time i hear that the two terms "frenzy" and "control" are used in conjuction of the same action), catches the ball and holds onto it tightly while then continuing the block action, eventually even twice because he is oh-so frenzy?

If this is adding sense to anyone fluff wise, i want to have that player in the NFL seriously.

Just thought to share a bit of oddity with you guys. You may now go back to idling, rating my boringness with a 1 or continue to moan about T16 fouling or even elaborate more on the most boring topic in the universe a.k.a. clawpomb.

edit after spinballs comment: this guy (Troy Polamalu) is freakin' cool, he is 3 times on this youtube top 10 interception compilation. but seriously, seeing how he intercepts and moves, gets up, dodges around etc ... he looks more like AG4 than AG2 really, doesn't he?

also, i haven't seen him making a blitz-sack-interception. actually, having looked for it only a little bit, the only thing that came close to it was the very last of this compilation by Pollack.

Was just about to rate this 4 or 5, then you called clawPOMB 'boring' right at the end!

Auto '1' for that my old china....

misunderstood me calcium. i called the topic boring, nothing else. the discussions are turning in circles and the moaning reaches the level of kids feeling treated unfair. ;-/

Damn, should have been one of my Agility Monsters who pulled it of... It's just one of the most unlikely actions that should make both players laugh. Awesome! :-)

a trollslayer does not catch the ball. the ball stucks in his arm pit...
Posted by BlizzBirne on 2012-02-22 18:28:14
or swallowed it ...

The ball stuck to his spikey hair.

Posthumously awards a 5 :)

I can imagine this fluff wise.
Carrier sees crazy trollslayer running towards him and looking at his spiky ball in hand as his legs go to Jelly, decide to chuck the ball at the troll slayers head! (like a pansy girl)
Slayer is further enraged by this, catches the ball, then proceeds to batter the carrier over the head with the ball until he dies from it.

You lack imagination... do you work in finance by any chance? ;)

I rated this 6 as it distracted me for a couple of minutes :P

I think this player does exist in real life, as much as it pains me to say it Troy Polamalu...hell he even has the hair for it

updated the main post because bbcode doesn't seem to work in comments ...

Out of interest, if he had Piling On, would he have intercepted and then dropped it again when he piled on?

I would assume the INT roll was first and then the coach could use PO with the ball in hand. Assuming he had a runner nearby to scoop up the ball and did this, would the PO ball drop cause a turnover?

PO would be an active choice after the ball was recoverd and thus the lost ball would be a turnover. not that i tried this, but i am fairly sure.

Since when does real world physics work in fantasy?

Give a snotling standfirm and he would be able to stop a deathroller. Make sense right?

Or talk about safe throw. I did throw the ball, oh you catched it but wait a min. I have safe throw and you dont get to catch the ball I already have thrown.

@ClayInfinity: If the slayer would have piled on with the ball, indeed the ball would have bounced and it would have been a turnover. Similar thing would have happened if the slayers would have skulled the block and went prone that way.

actually double skulling the blitz after the interception would've been even better!
