Match commentary - WIL (youtube)
I have decided to make my own youtube channel.

And one of the games that I will be commentating while playing is Blood Bowl :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN_vhBzdQo0&list=PLFFDF05A577BA14D2&feature=plcp

Thanks for the match Purplechest, although lots of 1 got rolled in that match.

Please leave a comment what you think I should improve and do better (I know I need to improve) and also subscribe to the channel as I am not sure I will make a blog post everytime I upload a video.

And oh, yeah foul and like my channel.

WIL FTW!

I was neither asked nor informed that this game would be posted, nor my play publicly disected.

I would rather it had not been.

I do not really play that hard in L, as i dont really care about the team/games/league. i just play to have a laugh and 'join in' with WIL.

I do think it would at least have been polite to inform me of the intention of posting such a replay, if not to seek my permission.

Wait.. You didn't inform your opponent and asked if he was OK with this? Tssk, that is rude.

That's great. I love specing games, and having commentary makes it even more interesting.

I gave it a like and a six.

Keep it up.

Also, I don't want to step on anybody's toes, but the games are all available to be speced and replayed. Also, any match that is being speced by a bunch of people IS being publicly disected in the chat. I can't imagine have some expectation of privacy for these reasons. I, like you, would not have expected the reaction voiced above.

site replays do not include chatlogs...

so yeah there's a pretty big difference between a site replay, and a video replay...

there's also a pretty big difference between the 3 or 4 people viewing on the site, and any chat commentary disappearing immediately after the game is over, and a video open for the entire world to view....and the chat log being permanent public record...

the youtube video has already had more views than most official tournament matches...

i'm with purple and woodstock on this...

with that being said...i think the idea is great, any future ones should definitely be cleared with the opponent first...

Asking would surely have been polite and proper.

I’ve not watched it. However, PC, we don’t need the disclaimer, I assure you. Coaches are only judged (in my view) by their skill over their body of games. You can take one off L games tired of an evening, KO events, CR, win % and throw them all away. We all know who the big fish are.

I haven't yet watched this, however I certainly will as soon as I can (I'm at work now shhhh). However I think this is great!!

I would like to say that this sounds a lot of fun and I would be honoured to have one of my games commentated on.

Although I admire the initiative, I must comment on two things. Well, the first should be default: asking the permission of anyone featured in the video. The other, comments for a match between two other coaches are much more rewarding for the viewer.

I think it would have been polite to speak to your opponent and you should do so in future but I also think people need to chill out. There's far worse infringements on our privacy in this country than a video of a bloodbowl match!
I haven't watched your video yet but I would imagine that it would be better if you were commentating on a match that was not your own.

Clearly the solution is to only make videos of my matches, from now on. Not only am I highly entertaining and happy to be promoted anywhere, I am the best coach you could ever hope to learn from.

jesus...

Nut up people, any publicity is good publicity and this isn't bad in any way shape or form.

Hilarious... anonymous people on the internet complaining about their anonymity remaining anonymous.

Ask permission first...

that's hilarious for reasons already mentioned by others

Asking permission, or at least mentioning to an opponent what you are planning, is probably the way to go. In any event, I think its great, and if we ever play in WIL you have my full permission.

Yeah I'm with Jiger, if you're still doing this on round 6, go nuts :)
