Well, after almost a year spent sitting at my fiance's side helping her through her battle with leukemia we thought we had it beat. She underwent a bone marrow transplant after months and months of chemotherapy and radiation therapy and her blood cell counts returned for normal.

However about 6 months down the line she's been feeling lethargic for a few weeks and her most recent blood tests have shown that her blood cell counts are dropping a bit so she will be undergoing a bone marrow biopsy on Monday to see if the cancer has returned. If it has, I don't know what we're going to do - another transplant is out of the question her body is still far too weak to handle it and since her leukemia has a mutated chromosome that makes it more resilient to treatment things could get a bit scary. Here's hoping there's another reason her counts are low.

She was diagnosed 3 days before her 21st birthday. Now she's 22. Why do bad things happen to good, young people with their whole lives ahead of them. F*** you world.

Please forgive any slightly bloodthirsty play by me over then next few days, weeks, possibly months as I take out my frustration on pixelated football players ;)
