The Low City Compound has seen what can almost be described as a siege during the last couple of days. Furious fans of the Erengrad Vikings have been demanding that coach Spelledaren step down, and that they won't go home until he is removed.

The fury was sparked by a mid season trade that has shocked the DLE world. Remas Eagles' favourite son Joe Doe was bought by the Erengrad management, bringing one of the top stars to the franschise. While this has sparked its own controversy in Remas, new coach there Chimp2010 seems so far to have avoided the scenes that are now taking place here in Erengrad.

The issue is, of course, the price paid for bringing such a high profile player to the team. Vikings paid their current first round pick of the draft, rising star Brian Dawkins, plus, and this is the kicker, long time star of Erengrad Vikings, IK Enemkpali. IK has a great following in DLE, not only with Vikings fans. He is the top fouler ever in DLE, and has played more than 100 games, and has his own fanclub. One of the fan club's members protesting outside the stadium had this to say:

"Selling IK?! He has been here since before Spelledaren. IK should be trading him away instead! We can't trust this management any longer, so they all should resign! Buncha losers hoping that some big name will help them..."

The same can be heard from many others around here. So far, no comment has been provided from coach Spelledaren, or from IK himself. We will follow the story in the days to come!
