Mini Painting Blog#1:Beastman & Reaper Merc.)
These are the last two minis I've finished. The Beastman is a "should be familiar to you all" "Big Co." BB fig. I'm not sure what "gen" it is, so if someone knows please tell me. I can't find him on the current products page.

The second is a far superior sculpt from Reaper 14332: Mack Hardwick, Mercenaries Captain from around 2005. Newer stuff is so much more pleasant to work with than early 90s sculpts and it shows on these two.

Next up is another old BB fig (Minotaur) and something else - probably a "Big Co." Orc or a Reaper character mini.

Cheers!

No GW mini pics allowed atm! Sadly enough. They do look very nice though!

Lovely skin tones on that Reaper mini.

What paints do you use?

nazgob: I use a mishmash of Valejo Model Color, Reaper Master Series and "Big Co." pots, and Vallejo Game Color (although many of the latter are rarely used due to the plastic look they have when dry).

The reaper miniature (mercenary captain) looks great. Good work!

I think they both look great.

SvenS: It sounds very strange if we can't show off our own miniatures, like any other forum? I think you overreact. In all legal issues, it's also a question of custom.

Very good! I'd love to see that Merc. Capt. in a Mordheim gang. Really nice "street brawler"-look on him.

@SvenS: Actually, I don't think it's much on an issue in the blog or they'd be all over Coolminiornot. To be on the safe side he could add the "this is a GW-mini and I just painted it"-disclaimer.

On a side note, the claim that GW "owns" the right to all pictures of their models is just bogus anyway. Do you think Philips could sue me if I took a picture of my TV and published it in my blog?
