I did it! I'm mediocre!
After winning my 50th blackbox game, my record in the box is now 20-10-20! I'm average! \o/
I often feel, in game-to-game life, that I haven't got much to show for all the time and effort I've put into learning the basics of positioning and tactics. But looking back there's definitely been huge improvement.
Not too long ago I was terrified of activating for the box. Those crazy dudes were way too good and would just make me feel stupid. But now, apparently, I am one of those crazy dudes \o/ It now takes super star status to intimidate me, not just a regular old star, and even very good players tend to need a t16 dice roll to secure the win.
The most important improvement is the 'luck' factor. I still maintain I have below average luck in bb and life, but more and more I'm seeing ways I can avoid bad luck by good positioning and patience. And there's even games where my opponent complains about bad luck but I know better O:)
The one constant has been that Blood Bowl keeps blowing my mind with the sheer depth of intricate strategizing. How deep does the rabbithole go?!

Just noticed you started Fumbbling a day after me Razmus, but have twice the games played. I had a bit of a head start I think, because I already knew the game mechanics from 3rd ed. So matter of time before you make me eat dust ;)
