Bring back piling on!
I seem to remember the game being less brutal with it.
Just venting frustration, I've had 9 deaths in my last 8 games. Seasons to aid rebuilds seem like a good idea right now.

How could the game be less brutal with PO?

you can't fail a block against someone who is lying down...

Clearly should ban juggernaut.

Balancing the skill, rather than removing it entirely, would have been ideal. This just seems like admitting defeat. Those GW cowards :) I liked picturing the players flying through the air and belly-flopping onto their opponents. Sad.

Belly-flopping onto opponents with spiked armours on a pitch strewn by rocks, broken bottles, and other pointy and sharp items without risk of injury, yes, it made perfectly sense.

The mental-image of a goblin belly-flopping an Ogre is particularly amusing :D

I don't mind Piling Awn being incorporated with a RR. I think it makes a person think twice about it. Plus it means they can only Pile Awn, once per turn. Totally fixes things in my opinion.

MattDakka - If you had less deaths with it in the game, and more deaths without it in the game, that means the game is more brutal now. Or more accurately "The last 8 games I've played in a non PO enviroment are more brutal than the games I played in one"

Scarlak - Oh good, I thought I was the only one who realised how broken it was.

Roland, Gozer_the_Gozerian, JellyBelly, Anybody else - Thanks for the replies, the was a rage post after a rough game, I always find reading blog comments puts things into a positive light.

8 games are not statistically meaningful.
My anecdotal experience so far is that the game is less brutal without PO.
What I've noticed is that Dwarf teams, Tackle and Guard spam are more common now.

Ladies and gentlemen, MattDakka: sucking the fun out of blog posts since 1980.

I didn't know blogging dated back to 1980. I guess I was too busy playing with Star Wars figures to notice.
