What I've learned...
I've made some notes to remind myself of the mistakes I keep making in the hope I start to make them less often:

1) Players will die and dice will not always give you the results you want, don't take it personally.

2) Know what you're trying to achieve each turn before doing anything. Be prepared to change it if things don't go as planned.

3) Always keep a player in my backfield unless I have the ball safe and secure when on defense. I'm a sucker for over committing when I get a blitz.

4) Keep the wizard unless I can recover and make the ball safe.

5) When you have Stand Firm, Fend or Side-step players put them on the line of scrimmage to prevent one turn touchdowns. It’s always worth it!

The wizards are rare, but not extinct yet... They live well in CIBBL/BIBBL

There is a real art to using the wizard wisely.

Using them early means that you may not be in a position to control the ball.
Use them too late however and you can't move your ball to the end zone.

Ofcourse you could use it to prevent a certain try, but how often does that try happen anyway?

I am thinking the best time to use it is around turn 5 in a half. First half if you are a bashy team and you want to win 2-1. Second half if you need to use speed.
