Calvin Pryor - Busted flush or set for revival (DLE)
In the Inaugural DLE draft Blitzer and all round hard man Calvin Pryor was much heralded. Drafted 5th (Scouted 21st) pick by the Marienburg Marauders he smashed out 11 casualties in 8 appearances making 62 blocks and despite a mid season injury that left lasting damage he returned to help the Marauders win the SHC regular season. Causing at least one casualty in each game he played in. He became part of the gruesome twosome with his partner in crime Deone Bucannon (15 Cas in 9 games) terrorising the SHC In season 1.

Things looked to be going well for Pryor, a top star in the league and playing well in a team that was among the best in the league. Then suddenly the franchise was sold, on top of this it was to much controversy relocated way down south to Barboza. On top of this a new coaching team was hired that had different ideas as to how Blood Bowl should be played. The move clearly unsettled the players as they played badly all season, the food was different the beer was terrible, the weather too hot, even the women were strange down there. Many of the players found it hard to settle. Last season's runners up became this season's whipping boys in the SHC as the franchises lost all 14 games in season 2. Pryor was just a microcosm of the team as a whole as he cased just 5 casualties in 13 games and even more astoundingly threw only 27 blocks. His partner in crime fared even worse causing only 2 casualties. Both players were on the way out and they found willing suitors in the Grenzburg Greenskins and the Broekwater Patriots. The Patriots are only just down the road from Marienburg and the Greenskins are based in the northeastern Empire. Bottom line Pryor was on his way back to more familiar surroundings.

Pryor is not a stranger to the Greenskins nor them to him. Indeed Pryor has previous history with his new team the Grenzburg Greenskins having caused two casualties against them in their season 1 meeting. Nothing serious but a few Greenskins did wonder where they were for the next week. Mouthwateringly the Greenskins and Marauders face off during regular season posing the possibility of Pryor taking to the field against his previous team. When he became available the franchise swooped at the chance to rather cheaply because of his condition fill a hole on the roster. Not having a specialist killer up to this point they have taken a gamble on Pryor with his form and his fitness to fill the role.

Whilst it is very very early in the season and not too much should be read into player form yet Pryor is the only player to come out of the Greenskins week 1 loss with any credit. He made a big impression, despite only being on the pitch for around half the game he made 7 blocks and caused 3 casualties, a career best that included the late headhunting of Joe Adams untill this season of the Sharks he lasted 5 turns into his Cascade debut before being piled on by Pryor and departing from his new team as swiftly as he arrived. It would be asking a lot of any player for 3 casualties to be the norm, the fabled Hightower only manages 2 per game but it hopefully is a sign that Pryor is getting back to his season 1 best and settled in the more familiar cultural surroundings of Ostland.

Pryor was actually 5th pick in the 1st round in the 1st DLE draft. So he was an early 1st round pick originally. Of course his loss of toughness (cant wear armor anymore due to painful skin conditions, or so the rumors say), he still poses a significant threat to lineman and catchers alike.

So all of his three previous bios are wrong lol. Looks like Fluffy from the docs mistook your scouting numbers for the pick numbers in this case. Cheers.

Very nice profile for a very dangerous player.

Perhaps you could add a link to the player in the text?

And keep more of this coming please! I've just updated some of my team bio to put you as the inspiration for my club founding :-) Hope you like it.
