RIP Dan (Dudesweet101) - Real! :(
This is not my usual message of a fallen FUMBBL character. Very sadly this is about a real life loss.
Dan passed away in late July of cancer, after chemotherapy wasn't enough to save him at a late stage.
I met Dan several times in Bergen. He was always a positive, funny and good natured guy. He was also extremely into 40K tabletop. Later he moved to Scotland, and had 3 small children.
Though probably few knew him well here, he had played well over 3000 games on FUMBBL. His most played couple of teams were Chaos Chosen, but he tried many others. I don't think he took it as seriously as he took competing at 40K, but he was a fun person to play.
Perhaps there are a few here who knew him from Warhammer/40K events he attended in Bergen or Scotland. "Team Scotland". Originally he was from Liverpool area and was a big Liverpool FC fan.

Oh that's terrible. He was not a friend, but on my friends list after a couple of fun games and nice chats. That is very very sad to hear. Thank you for passing the news along at least.

I'd only had the opportunity to play against him once, but we talked a few times. He had his Chaos attempting to be elves visit IoMT, which was a lot of fun. I'm so sorry to hear he's gone. He will be missed.

Alwayyyys hard to hear this sort of news. I didn't know him personallyy but have lost to him many ytimes. After checking our record, in four matches, I never even scored once. :-O

Didn't know the man more than that, but he seems always up for a fight with his elves against my nasties, we traded back and forth and it was good fun, cancer sucks. Condoleances to his relatives

Oh no, I played him quite a few times and I recall our games were always great contests and good humour. So sad. My condolences to all of his family and friends.

ouch, that's terrible news. played him a few times, usually trying to kill his ogre for the Throne of Blood competition. always had good banter with him. my thoughts to everybody around him.

Sad to hear. I had a brief rivalry when he offered a reward for the death of his own player and I tried really hard to get it.
