The hidden problem of rolling a double six.
This would be an easy choice is it was not a Gutter Runner. I know how valued a duantless+horns GR is. I am curious about take the +Str because of the added offensive potential. I am really torn and still haven't decided which to take. I hoping to sleep on it and make my choice tomorrow.

I also fear the wrath of Nuffle if I choose not to take the STR.

*UPDATE* 1/28/09
I took the +str. In the past few games it has been handy, but she has been targeted by the opposition for cleanup. He been killed once (apothed), and smash so hard her armor was permently damage.

the thing is dauntless only has offensive potential, when your being attacked its worth nothing
the thing is your not guarrenteed another doubles roll, and if you dont get horns you cant use the dauntless to its full potential

while as strength gives you an offensive bonus at all times (no need to roll like you would for dauntless)
while as strength dosent NEED horns, which means if you dont get another double, your gonna be alright
while as strength gives you one thing more than the other skills ever will, it gives you a permanent defensive bonus, whenever your attacked they need assists, instead of 2 dice on there own

simple choice, +STR

Str.

I always take str.

+ST

A move 9 ST 3 blodger (next skill) is an uber pain in the butt. If he doubles you can still go horns and the blitzing potential is almost as high and he will live so much longer.

When he already has daunt don't take the ST but take horns, otherwise take ST.

a) horns befre dauntless on gutter runners
b) strength. even when he is dauntless.

STR will stop people hitting him with 3 dice; Daunt/horns will not.

You don't want people 3-dicing your little gutter, do ya? :p
