This is a private league. The goal of the league is to allow the coaches to have an unlimited set of teams participating against each other, and to host semi-annual tournaments, at least.

Team Notes:

ALL teams MUST be in the [L]League division, including Stunty Leeg teams. If you have not done so, transfer your team to [L]League.

You may have as many teams in the Group as you want. You may only use one team in each Tournament, however. So when we start tournaments you'll have to tell me which team is playing.

You may swap out teams during a tournament. However, any losses, wins, ties you have already completed will not change. In other words, existing results/games will stand, new games going forward will be played with the new team.

If a tournament is going on, you may only use that team during tournament games--i.e. you may only play other tournament opponents that you are scheduled to play. The system will not allow you to load your game if it was against an opponent you were not scheduled to play.

CAGO Tournament Structure:

League Scoring:
The league will be scored as follows:

5 points per game played in an Open Tournament or Swiss Tournament (no points awarded for games played KO tourneys, sorry)

1 extra point per win in any Tournament

Extra points awarded based on # of participants, and final placement in a tournament. As an example--if 8 coaches participate in a KO Tournament, the winner gets 8 points, the last place player gets 1 point. Ties will be given a split of the 2 combined spots they occupy--so, for example, if there is a tie between 1st and 2nd, that is 15 points (in an 8 player tourney)--each will get 7.5 points.

5 points (flat) for participating in a KO tourney (regardless of # of games played it is only 5 points)

10 points for winning a KO tourney

5 points for 2nd place in a KO tourney

2 points for 3rd and 4th place in a KO tourney

CAGO Open Cup: This is an open round robin tournament. The teams you choose for this tournament should be considered "perpetual league" teams--meaning, you'll use them in future Open Cups and tournaments. The Open Cup will probably be run over a period of 1-2 months, t o give the coaches time to get in the necessary games. It would average out to slightly more than one game a week, which isn't unreasonable. Games that cannot be finished by the deadline will be forfeited at my discretion, or left unplayed, depending on the situation. Coaches may voluntarily forfeit.

Each coach may field 1 team in the CAGO Open Cup. The Open Cup will require each coach to play every other team in the tournament, in any order. The winner of the tournament is the player who scores the most points during the Cup.

Open Cup Scoring:

5 points for a win (or for the non-forfeiting side of a forfeit)

3 points for a draw

1 point for a loss

0 points for the forfeiting side of a forfeit

3 points for every TD scored (max 10 points)

2 points for every casualty caused(max 10 points) (fouls and crowd pushes don't count, I think, in the system)

-1 point for every TD or casualty caused against your team (note: these points lower your TDs for and Cas for points, so if you score 4 TDs * 3 = 12, but have 2 TDs scored against you, you will still get the max of 10, not 8)

MAXIMUM POINTS: The maximum # of points you can score in any one Open Cup game is: 10 max TD points + 10 max casualty points + 5 points for a win = 25 points

CAGO Open Rookie Cup: Same as Open Cup, except you must have a Rookie team to enter.

CAGO Open Cup KO Tournament: The KO tournament will be played at the end of each Open Cup, and will use the teams that participated in the Open Cup. It will be a single elimination tournament.

CAGO Stunty Leeg KO Tournament: We'll regularly run KO tournaments for Stunty Leeg teams. Again, every coach may enter one team in the Stunty Leeg KO tournament.

CAGO Rookie Bash KO Tournament: Each coach may enter up to one Rookie team (i.e. no games played). After the tourney, do whatever you want with the teams--you can "graduate" them to the CAGO Open Cup if you want, or just retire them. It's up to you.
