--->
1: After each cycle, team races will be chosen via a draft. The draft selection order follows the "worst to best" in the previous cycle winning percentage. Each race from the official race list is available for draft (exception being stunty teams). Each race may only be chosen once (unless otherwise noted).
The league champion of each cycle will be able to choose any race of their choice (even if this breaks the one race per league rule).
2: No stall tactics. As I've played all or most of you, i expect you to not stall in our league. Now a turn or 2 is ok, but we are all adults and can recognize what is a valid tactic and what is fun-slaying. Please be civil and give your opponent a fun match.
3: No excessive fouling. Pretty much sums it up. No more than 1 dirty player per squad and/or 3 fouls per half. Lets be reasonable here, if wiping out your opponent's team is your definition of fun, this isn't the league for you.
4: If you cannot commit to an entire season, please don't join the league. As I know most of you, the doors will be open for you to join up during a later season, when your schedule clears up.
5: Each team must be built for league play, not ranked play.
6: No stunty teams allowed.
7: All teams must be newly created, [L] teams.
8: To garner some group cohesion, every team must have a named based off of the warhammer universe (ala Reikland Reavers, etc). If you don't know anything about the lore... PM me, one of your fellow coaches or do a quick google search. This is the only fluff-based rule and it is in place to give the league some identity and unity.
9: No star players. Simple and to the point.

Cycles:

Every three seasons is considered a cycle. At the end of each cycle, every coach will pick a new team in a racial draft (based upon their previous cycle records).

This will place everyone back on even footing and prevent coach drops, as well as the feeling of hopelessness that occurs in some leagues when you KNOW, you can never win the championship due to the high powered teams in the league. This creates a new beginning every 40-50 games or so.

Salary Cap:

we use the salary cap for parity, similar to what American football uses. This is to help ensure a level playing field. The salary cap will be based off of team ratings (TR).

Each season after the first, the maximum team rating (TR) for every team , can be no greater than the average TR of the playoff teams from the previous season. This means that some teams will have to cut players, drop team rerolls, fire staff, etc... to make it under cap (this is to represent spiraling expenses).

NEW teams of the league must enter with a team, of a race not currently in the League, at a TR of 10pts less than that of the lowest returning team's TR (this is to reward players for sticking with their teams).

Friendlies:

This chart is to determine how many friendly matches, each team will get to play during the off-season (based on the current number of teams in the League).

16 teams
1-8 (playoff teams, no games)
9-12 (1 game)
13-16 (2 games)

18 teams
1-8 (playoff teams, no games)
9-12 (1 game)
13-16 (2 games)
17-18 (3 games)

20 teams
1-8 (playoff teams, no games)
9-12 ( 1 game)
13-16 (2 games)
17-20 (3 games)

Whenever possible, coaches are encouraged to play their friendlies, against other teams in their own league ranking category.

Any and all friendlies to be played, must be done so, before the start of the next season or they will be lost. Friendlies may not be played against teams outside of the league or against the playoff teams. (breaking this rule will result in a -20 point deduction to next season league point total). Playoff teams DO NOT get any friendlies.

The salary cap will be set at the average TR of the playoff teams, at the end of the post season (after the championship game). Teams must be under this cap by the beginning of the next season.
<!---
