P.A.I.N (The Post Academy Invitational Network) is a casual league for recent converts to Fumbbl who would like to continue to play their academy team after it has 'graduated' past the 150 TR cap.

It is a small invitation only league. The current plan is for the first season to contain six teams.

It was created following a discussion between Oldworldeagle and Glorin.

1) To allow us to keep playing the academy teams we have been playing with on a regular basis now that they have 'graduated' past the Academy TR cap.

2) To have a small friendly group of coaches who are all relative novices like ourselves to compete against.

3) To be a little less aimless than random unconnected games against each other

What follows is my idea of what such a league should look like. It isn't cast in stone however and I'd love to hear from any member who has an idea that would improve upon it. This is the first time I have done something like this

Teams should be between 150 and 160 TR at the beginning of the season.

The Regular season is ten games long. In the course of this each team will play each of the other five teams twice. Coaches may play these games in any order of their choice provided they don't play the same coach back to back.

At the end of the regular season the regular season champ will be given automatic qualification into the Championship game.

The second and third place teams will play a 1 game playoff to decide the remaining spot.

The winner of that game will face the regular season champion in PAIN Bowl I

If the regular season champ wishes he may also play a warm up game between the conclusion of the regular season and the championship game. This game can be against a PAIN team or any other (L) team within 40 TR points of himself. The results of this game not impact the league standings in any way.

Tiebreaking procedures.
In the event of a tie in the standings, the higher place will be awarded to whichever team has the better Touchdown differential (the ratio of TDs scored to TDs conceeded) over the course of the regular season. If there is still a tie, the higher place will be awarded to the team with the best regular season CAS differential.

Other Rules.

Team and player names should be vaguely in keeping with the atmosphere and setting of Blood Bowl. That doesn't mean you have to have a lengthy team bio or elaborate back story for your team. It just means that your players should have proper names rather than kitchen appliances or household cleaning products.

If a player is killed you should be prepared to replace him with a newly named player. Identical names, or names where the new player is only differentiated from his predecessor by the addition of a number are not permitted. Any players with such names when they join the league will be grandfathered in however.

The Off Season

The Highest TR score in the league at the conclusion of the Pain Bowl, I will constitute the TR Cap for the next season. Teams may play as many games as they wish between seasons but the TR shall not exceed that cap at the beginning of the next season. Once a season has begun TRs can rise to any level.
