#7 Postmortem – Dead (RIP)
Quite brutal a game.

With a whopping 180k in cash the head coach decided to be rather safe than sorry and he hired the help of both Morg 'n Thorg AND Lord Borak.

Regardless the stiff multi-clawed/millions of guards these would see him through.

Only to be informed seconds before the match that these 2 guys were not allowed in this tournament.

Ouch.

175k down the drain.

Then it started and my one niggler (an ST4 beast) decided discretion was the better part of valor and pretended his back played him tricks.

And then there were only 13.

O_O

I received though and thought it would be wise to blitz his Clawed/MB Chaos Warrior, better to get rid of that nasty piece ASAP. The MB failed to break his armour but with a few friends the DP did what he was supposed to do; BH.

Then he -rather surprisingly- decided to use (waste?) his apothecary on the BH Warrior. And it failed.

Suddenly things looked not quite as bleak for my team.

Even so; it was a hefty struggle and took 2 rolls of 3+ AND a gfi for me to score. That wall of guard surely is hard to get past!

1-0 to my advantage and quite neatly scored in my turn 8 of the first half.

His drive was almost stopped in it's tracks by a blitz but once more that wall of guard paid off. A few turns later he managed to secure the ball, partially also given the gross incompetence of the Brotherhood.

When he fouled I returned the favor on his ST6 minotaur whom was sent BH. He scored but in my 8th turn of the 2nd half finally my ST5/claw/rsf broke AV8 and sent another guy to the cas box. My gang-foul sent another guarder to join his brethren in the now rather crowded cas box. A good trade for the spotted DP (with no further skills)

He received in overtime but I held the numbers; 10 vs his 8.

In short; it proved too much. With the diminished numbers his out-guarding me no longer was decisive. Add to that that the clawed monstrosity of the brotherhood caused two more casualties and things looked hopeless for the opposing team.

In the end the AG5 CW (the second abomination on this team) scooped up the ball and passed it to a waiting rookie beast on 3 spp.

The bonus was that my ST5 abomination got MVP earning him finally block as his 4th skill.

Some smaller gripes; the poor winnings and the fact I could apoth only one killed player. (2 killed on 3 cas is a bit harsh)
