Very tough game, where it came down to the last two turns.

Handicaps of Palmed Coin and Knuckledusters didn't help reduce the player deficit liked I hoped, but it made at least one of my Blitzers all the more imposing.

I pushed forward first push, with a loose cage that Smeg neatly snuck around, decking my ball carrier. Unfortunetly, he couldn't escape my counter-attack, and several KOs allowed me to push forward slowly for a turn 8 score. The coach obviously fired up the team for the 8 turn bashing, promptly causing a BH and putting the Blight on notice that the next half was going to be much harder.

2nd Half, and Smeg got back most or all of his KOs, and opened with a lightening two turn equaliser, BH'ing another blocker. Low on players, I opted for a very tight cage this time, and got lucky with picking up the ball and getting it into the cage.

I advanced a bit quicker this time, trying to get past before the elves outnumberd my poor norse. I got lucky with some blocks, Smeg didn't get lucky in breaking the cage, and after a bit of hassle I managed a turn 5 score. 2-1 up.

Smegs push was stalled by a Perfect Defense, but with only 9 players, I wasn't really sure what to do with it. I'm not sure I improved things much, and it was only some lucky blocks that kept things tight. A double skull caused a turnover in my favour, and then I rallied to knock over Smegs fastest and closest scorer.

It all came down to whether Smeg could get past to throw in for the turn 8 equaliser. He blocked well, moved well, but the final dodge just didn't come off. A very tense game to the end, and very enjoyable. Smeg was very gracious in the face of a very bad nuffle beating and a 50-50% luck ratio would have seen him win methinks. He played darn well, and knocked my Norse around.

Twahnlows

3 Votes –Hammas Sooka – Very difficult to knock down, and chased my ball carrier incessantly. A cas thrown in as well. Hammas will be a stellar player in the future

2 Votes - Sankha Rella – 2 passes and MVP, Sankha had a great game.

1 Votes - Kail Biangi – a workhorse, Kail blocked and blocked and blocked and generally got in the way.

Conclusion

Well, only 40k so no Apoth. I wonder what the next game will herald?

Disappointed by losing to a newbie team like this, but feel better that I was beaten by the team that was champion. Congrats mate.

Twahnlows:

3 Points: Yanovi 'Titan' Frostham. Great work running the ball, and his Cas split the difference between him and Busar.

2 Points: Busar Littlenoff Pegoski. Another great runner for the team. deserved his TD.

1 Point: Rastoven 'Demi God' Tarruff. Tried his little heart out, for unfortunately no result.
