“Out diced for much of the game - when it came to blocking the lack of block hindered the Ogres not one jot. Their downfall came on the "important" rolls when their previous no fail dodge (tm) failed them the odd time, otherwise the "pow with every block (tm)" was painful to watch.

After losing one player (Blitzer) to a death (apo'd) and another soon after (BOB - not so 'fortunate son') I wasn't feeling too charitable when "get the ref" came up for me, so near enough used it every turn for the first part of the 2nd half, until I got to a position where it wasn't needed - my ability to break armour until that point was restricted to KOing the goblins, at best, save for the hit on an Ogre which was Apo'd.

Having played Ogre teams before I was hoping for lots of bone heads, failed blocks vs Block skill, and the usual ham fisted mess of throwing team mate ending in splats, enjoyable to watch (from an opponent point of view) but after using the Apo so early and losing a player shortly after, the dip in Blocking success didn't come and I was chewing my nails for the rest of the game, as my players were dumped on the floor with near enough every block, and only crappy (from opponent point of view) Cas rolls (even with mighty blow) kept me in the game.

I was lucky for the first td - first failed dodge my opponent made after a series of successes (and 7+ scoop the ball up off the floor) had the ball bounce to my player, and in the 2nd half the ref helped me out a lot - fouls stunning key players and KOing others. I'm glad I didn't kill any of the opponents players off - fouling nets you no SPP but when used right can help you win the game. I'd hate to deprive the Opressed Ogres future opponents the sort of battering I just got!
