“"Why were those players wearing green masks?" Johann asked, polishing his speculuum glasses.
"Erh," Ragnar began. "That was not masks. According to the pampflet this was something called Orcs."
"Are you telling me that once again we played against animals. And what was that big blue thing?" Johann cried, working himself up in a frenzy. "That has got to be illegal. And if it is not, we got to have one too!"
Ragnar looked around, wondering where he'd put his brandyglass.
"Hmm, according to Empire Law, it is illegal to own a troll, unless it is truly domesticated. But since they cannot be domesticated it is always illegal to own them." Ragnar cleared his throat, proud of not stumbling on the difficult words, and that he actually got to use the word Law. That always made him feel like the lawyer he never became.
"Ragnar," Johann shouted.
Ragnar snapped from his daydream in which he defended pretty maidens in the court. "Yes," he said.
"Make sure that Albrecht doesn't get any supper today. First day in the team and he proves soft. We'll give him one more chance."
Johann leaned back and looked out over the playingfield. Didn't the fans really like this game, he thought. And, if so, how much more money would he get?
