“This was a funny old game. The first half saw the demise of Hendrix II the ageing Surgical Hit captain. A blodging, mb, tackle, diving tackle, sidestep blitzer with a fractured skull and broken ankle earlier in his career left him fragile and slow, however he was quite some player. Then he met Freddy. Freddy quite clearly doesn't see eye to eye with his coach on fouling. The coach has an admirable 'going for a bh' attitude but freddy had other ideas. He killed hendrix II early in the game but the apothecary did a good patching up blood, and cleaned up that horrible splatter that was appearing on the turf. His work done he took his place in the stand to watch the rest of the game, but hadn't returned to his seat before Freddy had kicked off the dressing the next turn and watched Hendrix bleed to death. Surgical Hit then retaliated with a foul, overcommitting virtually all their player to get assists on a blitzer, who was knocked out. Unbelievably however they got back into position and managed to prevent the touchdown.
The second half saw a surgical hit touchdown after 3 turns and then PF BBC (like i'm gonna type all that out) equalise after a couple more. A tense final drive threatened scores from both sides, but a long bomb (i think) from Lordy Thouren failed to find the exceptionally quick Aeris Nold in the end zone, and the draw was confirmed. A new blitzer was bought after the game for surgical hit. Bizarrely it appears to be Hendrix the III no less than the son of the late Hendrix II- some would call it coincidence, but Hendrix II knew his time was running out and procreated just in time.

On a separate note, i'm gonna get myself a dp. I don't have one because i don't want to encourage others to foul, and i don't want to discourage non-dpers from taking me on. However..... dp not only tends to provide a numerical advantage, but it also can have a psychological effect. An fouled coach is an annoyed coach and an annoyed coach is often a losing coach. I let my defense slip after having a player killed and i was lucky that that didn't cost me the game.
