A challenging game. Handicaps were Doom and Gloom and It Wasn't Me on my star Thrower.

Babes started in offence and had some early luck with a casualty on the second block of the game. They spread out and scored about 3 turns into the game then thanks to some unlucky rolls for my opponent, managed to steal the ball and take a 2-0 lead into half time. The Babes had no apothecary though as their AG4 catcher snake eyed a dodge and caused herself a niggle!

Second half my opponent started in offence and a touchback resulted in the ball being given to a Saurus who with the help of his friends, ran it in to reduce the Babes lead to 1.

The Babes fought hard and managed a 3rd score late in the game.

The Babes stole the ball on defence and ran it deep but the Lizzies stole it back and threw to a Saurus who ran in a second TD.

A fun game. My opponent had some bad luck at dangerous moments which allowed me to get to the ball, but also made an amazing (to me) number of dodges with his Saurii!

We both hit each other pretty hard with the Tackle Mighty Blow, but funnily enough, I both of my casualties were done without Mighty Blow, and so was his single one to me (and it was to my only player without Block).

Cruddy income for us both, but no permanent injuries or FF loss so not a bad outcome overall.”
