Note, TR difference due to my 490K cash, my Orcs are saving up for a new stadium hehehe.
---------
The Boyz started in offence with rain pouring down around them. With the ball so wet and slippery, the Boyz chose a running game and caged the ball and brought it upfield slowly. Eventually they scored late in the first half, but only had 10 players to start the second with one still knocked out.

The Nukes also had one player knocked out, but had a longer bench so they could still field 11.

The Nukes pushed the ball deep, and although they lost it temporarily, they were able to score a reply about a third of the way into the final period. During this passage of play, they injured one of the Boyz which kept their lineup to 10 players again in the next kick off.

The Boyz again played a tight cage, and slowly gained superior numbers as they finally managed to string some blocks together.

The Boyz looked like they had set themselves up for a certain win late in the half when their ball carrier tripped over (snake eyes) near the sideline behind a solid screen of Boyz defenders!

The ball spilled out of bounds where the Nukes had a chance to steal the match but they fumbled the pass.

The Boyz then had another chance to score the winning TD after a Blitzer rifled a short pass to another Blitzer near the end zone, but the would be scorer tripped (failed his GFI roll and I had used my reroll to avoid a double skulls to start turn 8)!
---------------
A very tight and close game but a dissapointing draw after having the upper hand late in the second half.

My opponent had a couple of Blodgers and some Dodgers without Block and also 2 guard players and I have no Tackle, or Mighty Blow so I found it very hard to take advantage of my team's strength - bashing!

The first half was tough going, as my opponent's luck was in the mid 70s into turn 8 with no dodges missed, and in one passage of play, rolled 3 one dice pows in a row to surround my ball carrier late in the first half and almost prevented me from scoring!

Second half, I was outnumbered at first, but finally I got some hits on his players and managed to push some out of bounds again to gain the numbers and what looked to be a commanding position... turn 7 with 5 blitzers in range to score, the ball carrier running up along the sideline behind a wall of standfirm players and only 5? opponents left on the pitch and then the snake-eyes....

Then again, my opponent had some harsh luck too, with his Apoth failing on the only SI of the match, his -1 Str to a Lino with Block and Guard and then one of his players aging.

Me I got no skill rolls, but a -1 FF, the fans were not happy with the Boyz letting that win get away from them!

Anyway, it was a fun game against a fun opponent. too.

#13 Oriza Whitestripe – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#13 Oriza Whitestripe – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
Never thought I would be able to hold the line against this solid opponent.

Both teams played quite cautiously, blocking and maneuvering most of the time. And because this is the Orc's game the Dark Elves were forced to take some calculated risks... which worked out quite well in the first half but didn't suffice to stop the Orcs from scoring in the last turn.

Second half the Nukes went for the Elven touchdown. Playing the ball forward as far as they could out of the Boyz operating range, hoping if they lost it they would be the ones to score on the rebound. But then disaster struck: Bloodmaul blitzt the Witch Elf to the ground on his own. She went KO and the bouncing ball landed right in his claws!
The Elves scrambled, managed to knock him over and stretch to get a touchdown. Close one.

There was still ample time for the Boyz to score the winning point. The Nukes chose to play for a draw so they attempted to stop them. They tried to keep a line and avoid contact. An Orc blitzer was shoved through the line and escaped. He had to be kept busy. The Nukes still had their line (kind of) so they risked the dodges towards the Orc balcarrier and managed to knock him over. The ball scattered in between the Orc and the Elven line. A stalemate... The Orcs held formation, the Elves had reached their objective... but then, they got greedy! They set up to get that ball in front of the Orc line. Ground Zero went in but fumbbled it! The ball scattered behind him. The Orcs grinned: "this ain't over yet!" and proceeded to recapture the ball. The Elves were out of the way and their only remaining enemy was their own clumsiness: again the ball fell to the floor and out of bounds. The throw-in gave the Elves new hope: some simple ball handling and the day would be theirs. But alas, they displayed the same clumsiness... This game was getting out of hand. The Orcs set up for their final attempt to score: some wonderful Orc passing, laughing all the way to the endzone, then tripped again. Really tough.

Exhausting match. Excellent opponent.
