“Asgard Open (CCC) Final

This was a crazy freaking game. Lizards kicked but got a blitz kickoff roll. The Specials recovered as both teams fought for position. It looked like the lizards has turned the tide but after stealing the ball, they rolled double skulls and allowed the humans to regoup.

A nice blitz led to the humies getting the ball but with 0 RRs left they chose to stop 1 square short of the goal line and not risk a 2nd GFI. This proved a costly mistake as the lizards were able to take down the ball carrier and end the half 0-0.

Receiving and the humans get a blitz kick off roll. Within 2 turns we are on our heels, down to 7 players and 1 skink. An RIP later and we have lost the ball and the skink is dead. Things were grim.

But a nice chain push block freed up a frenzy Saurus and with 2 GFIs we tracked down the ball carrier and took him down. With 0 rerolls left the humans could not get the 1 roll they needed to seal the game and we went to OT.

Humans received up 1 player in OT. But the humans armor failed as they went to the KO box one after another. Then finally after several failed attempts we were able to wrestle the ball loose and pick it up for the win.
