Mike Rabid for NBN,

First game after relegation and the lads from Islington were looking for blood. Before them were placed a green elf team, ripe for the slaughter.

With the Random House Guest in trouble with the fuzz again, the norse were outnumbered but not for long! A deep kick-off did not deter 33 Chin Chen Street, who in their opening drive romped up the field, stunning elves who stayed down rather than be hit again. Jeremy Blascott was an early (and only) casualty but the "Chain Cage" strategy worked a treat, allowing Chin Chen to give the elves little hope of putting men in the way, due to an imposing line of frenzying blitzers.

The elves were forced to commit and they did a good job nearly stopping the forward momentum, but in the end weight of numbers from the advancing blitzers turned the tide. Before the first half ended the elves had a chance to score and stretched the norse defence, but a fumbled throw cost them dearly. Chin Chen hit hard, quickly closing the door, which momentarily had been ajar.

The second half was a one-sided afar, opening with a perfectly executed blitz by 33 Chin Chen Street. Not much the opposition coach could do as he watched his players fall on the pitch. As the casualties mounted it was clear the game had been decided, two more touchdowns coming.

Twahnlows:

3 - Belisarius: never stopped. Threw eleven blocks and got their only CAS, initially giving the elves a 9-11 advantage on the pitch.

2 - Kublai: threw a completed pass. There were few highlights for the elves.....

1 - Erwin: must have done something to earn the MVP?!?

A tough ask to play a TR150 in my first game, I nearly had the upper hand at the start, and conceded a hard fought touchdown. I was probably a bit unlucky (snake eyes on the 2+) throw not to level it at 1-1 but the second half was all Chin Chen.

There was nothing I could do as players fell and I wept. Losing one player in my opening game was frustrating, yes, but nothing compared to the last turn throwing of a rock SI-Ning a player.

Twahnlows:

3 Kristian Gatfield Two TD's one cas
2 Dan Collins III Cas, TD
1 Nathan Richardson, sat on line of scrim, through blocks, took punishment without complaining.
