“When we saw that the Count was gonna stand opposite us, we figured the game to be all but over already. A str5/agi4 blodger? And us without a single tackle or stripball. Not a good situation, and it proved such early. We thought we'd caught a break in being able to crowdpush his ballboy, and our guys were in position whereas his were all downfield...except for the Count, who stole the ball, resisted all attempts at blitzing him, and waltzed in the opening score as halftime came.
Second half, we fumble the ball, and in comes the count! Game over, right? Not when the count trips during a gfi, falls, and is summarily fouled KO. The rest of my team must've been inspired by this, as the rest of the second half was spent ko'ing nearly the entire undead roster, scoring our own equalizer as time expired. Going to overtime!
The key here? The Count and his str4 ghoul both remained ko, and we necros were receiving. He commits nearly all his speed players to one side of the pitch, allowing me to blitz my way through his weak side and screen him away until the end of OT, when I walk the second score in.
Now to await the victor of the dwarf/chaos semifinal. I know who my money's on, and who I hope to have win, and they're not the same team...”
