Luck reading out due to half time game freeze. At that point the luck meter read 55-65 in my opponent's favour, but my opponent actually had shocking luck. The replay file probably only works from half time.

-----------------------
The Guardians started in offence and had some awful luck as their first non blocking action which required a dice roll was a snake-eyes GFI that left just their monster Wardancer Caldoris Thundercall (Str5 AV6) deep in Enforcer territory. Luckily the Enforcers kick went out of bounds and the ball was safe due to a touchback. The rookie Catcher who failed his GFI also stunned himself! So much for a noob score first up heh.

The Enforcers decided to leave Caldoris alone as it would take a tackler plus three assists to take him down which would leave defensive gaps everywhere, and instead punched a hole near the line of scrimmage to threaten the Guardians backfield.

This left an easy score pass to Caldoris who ran in the TD to give the Guardians the 1-0 lead.

On the Enforcers drive, the opening blocks did not create much of a gap. The Guardians applied some pressure forwards, but with failed a 2+ dodge with their MA9 Thrower who knocked himself out (AV6 and the armour roll was 7!).

The Enforcers swung some players to the other side of the pitch and used a team reroll to change pushes on the Guardians Str4 Thrower to a pow, knocking him out too. Then bad luck for the Enforcers as their next block netted double skulls.

Caldoris Thundercall blitzed the Enforcer ball carrier, using a Team Reroll (the last one already!) to knock the ball carrier down. The Guardians surrounded the ball and scooped it up with a Blodge Sidestep lineman.

The Enforcers managed a one dice POW (after rerolling the block) and knocked the ball free, but the Guardians were able to get a 2+ dodge and 2+ ball pickup to score and take a 2-0 lead.

On their next drive, the Guardians got a Team RR on the kickoff. The Enforcers pushed three receivers deep before their turn ended with their thrower close enough for Caldoris Thndercall to lay a tackle zone on him (using up the last team RR again with a GFI). The Enforcer Thrower failed the dodge and the Guardians scooped up the loose ball for a third TD.

The Enforcers were unable to score in the 2 turns left in the opening pariod.

At this point the replay file is a bit corrupted as this was where we had the server crash and reload. The file was not quite right in that one of Balkir's players started stunned and he didn't realise till the 2nd turn that his Witch was missing from the pitch (fixed with a sync) but he agreed to play on to get the game moving. A true sporting opponent.

Anyway, the Guardians had a perfect defence on the opening kickoff which put a lot of pressure on the Enforcers.

The Enforcers then had further bad luck when one of their players failed a GFI and badly hurt himself, This allowed the Guardians to blitz the Enforcer ball carrier and knock the ball free (was one dice with a block player vs a player without Block or Dodge so 50% knock down and it took a reroll) and the Guardians scored again to take a 4-0 lead.

The Guardians fielded 10 on defence on the next kick off due to Morleys affecting 3 players and a 4th player being injured (Badly Hurt). They were able to put a Diving Tackle player on the Enforcers Thrower with the ball. The Enforcers Thrower made his dodge this time and passed the ball to a team mate just past the line of scrimmage who ran it deep. The Guardians blitzed the Enforcers but failed to get a Pow or Dodge/Pow on four dice and conceded a TD to their opponents.

On the next drive, the Sweltering Heat kept out the Guardians Str5 Wardancer leaving them with 10 whilst the Enforcers had a Str4 Witch suffering heat exhaustion but they could still field 11.

The Guardians advanced down their right sideline with their rookie Catcher out wide the obvious intended scorer. The Enforcers applied tackle zones on the Guardian players. The Guardians were forced to do a one dice block needing a push (so 4+) to set up a two dice block to free their rookie catcher who then caught the ball and made a 3+ and 2+ dodge (needed team RR) to take the Guardians to a 5-1 lead.

On the next drive the Guardians due to Morleys and the Heat could only field 10 on defence and the Enforcers penetrated with 4 players down one side. The Guardians applied the defensive pressure but were unable to stop the Enforcers from setting up an easy score, with Caldoris Thundercall badly hurt on a blitz (required 4 players heh).

The Guardians had two turns left and forced their way straight down the middle of the pitch, setting up a cage deep in Enforcers territory with their rookie catcher holding the ball. It was a nasty turn as the Guardians caused a niggling on one Enforcer player (apothed) then caused a -AG on the next block. Fortunately for the Enforcers it was a relatively undeveloped Lineman who could still serve on the line of scrimmage.

The Enforcers used their AG5 Witch Elf to dodge into the cage (4+ with reroll) to flatten the Guardians ball carrier then surrounded the cage. Luckily for the Guardians the ball had bounced into the hands of their Wardancer. The Guardians then had a lucky Pow on the Enforcer Witch Elf (2 dice, no tackle) and then was able to push the other tackle zones away to set up a second TD for their rookie catcher.

A fun match against a fun coach. The first half was a blowout due to some cruddy rolls for my opponent but the second half was a close 3-2 affair. My opponent was a great sport who did not complain at all about the bad luck he was having against a superior team.

He did threaten to SI and kill my players near the end of the first half but it was in good hearted banter heh.

Looking forward to playing Balkir again when his team has recovered.
