Final of the UI II Qualifier: Light Lantern
I started of in the defence.
I guess the early hit on the opponents str4 Ragnar Karlsson was a very big helper.
But THE big decision was then a well timed lightning bolt on the ball carrier and the ball falling directly in the hands of my free to move catcher to bring the ball well covered just short of the opponents TD line.
Then SergeiBautin kind of wasted his wizard in a daring attempt to stop me there. But the dice did not go his way.
So I looked optimistic to a second half with me leading 2:1.
I started my drive nice and smooth but had snake eyes on the handsoff in my back field and the sweat was coming back ...
Opponent grabbed the ball. But Nuffle paid the snakeyes back with some nice POWs and I was again on the road to my touchdown and did the 3:1.
Then SergeiBautin realized he has to play a little dirtier to still have a chance.
I did loose some players on the field and he got the 2:3.
So looking good for me, but still I was worried.
I had to pull this in this half cause overtime would have been clearly won by my opponent.
Hardly had enough players to make a TD against fellow elves, so I just managed to hold on to the ball.
Good game!
I guess Nuffle wanted me to win, cause I spent SOOO much time waiting for the last qualifer to get started :)
