I honestly figured I held a decent chance, especially after me killing a player with my first foul. his apothecary gone.

Well;

it was not to be.

First he counter-fouls my tackle/mb and my apoth fails. (sigh)

Then my other fouls result in nothing but stuns while his were brutally effective. On top of which my blocking was rather sub-par really. After a few turns I played 9 vs 11. 11 elves of which 4 had guard and 3 were St4.

Can you spell 'doomed'? ;-)

Even so; I managed to almost sqeeze in a serious chance at a td, albeit one with 2 gfi. All I needed was an 1d blitz resulting in either push with 3+ dodge or a pow.

Skul/pow.

So end of 1st half 0-0 andhe received. 2 of my tacklers out.

time and time again the desperate chaos players tried to put tacklezones on the witch carrying the ball but time and time again all that was the result were more chao splayers lying prone after his blocks. he surfed a few players but in doing so he left his with vulnerable.

I could blitz her twice with 1d only but still. 1st attempt push rr push.
2nd time the rr was a pow. (she had no block mind you!)

Not that it mattered; his blitz was pow and with a rr in hand he easily scooped up the ball.

1-0.

Ah well.

Could have been worse I suppose.
I had fully expected a death or niggle (or two!) after my apoth failing...
