And what a cracker it was! With the season gone and the drop to the Regionals looming, we shed some cash with the hiring of Nobbla and we decided to play the "man" and not the ball...
Down 0-1 early, Nobbla was allowed back onto the pitch and Belconnen did a record 9 fouls, I'd say 7 with the eye on him, but no casualties to report.
Carlton were forced to use their equity to extend the dug out to cater for all the KO's, but a critical fumble on the 3rd quarter mark saw the Carlton boys scramble the ball down field.
Turn 16 saw us with the possibility of a length of the field special, but 'twas not to be.
3pts - Eglander Braybrook. Enigmatic figure who foiled us with artful dodging, and a critical completion to start the last quarter shenaningans.
2pts - Bob Gibolobo. A great game from the young thrower who spoilt the party big time again with artful dodging.
1pt - Kelly Karrett. Scored the early TD, took a whole heap of punishment and lived to tell the tale.”

I don't normally like to encourage this kind of behaviour, and we're certainly not talking about a best and fairest kind of performance here, but you need to give a man credit for singlehandedly putting the majority of the opposing players off the field! Certainly did more damage than the chap with the Chainsaw...

He's the heart of the team, and was always in the thick of the action on Offence in this game. Made a clutch dodge past Braybrook to score the first touchdown after the fool with the chainsaw made it hard for him, and was on the verge of scoring the second before Braybrook finally managed to stop him.
