“The Gnash took to the pitch in what was a hard fought draw. They recieved two new skills, enough money to buy a re-roll, and earned 7 points towards the Blitz Invitational. Also, their injured werewolf was able to recover after this game and would be back for the next one.

The Green Machine got the ball first and rushed in a well developed cage. The Gnash threw everything they had at them, and popped the ball lose. But through superior numbers, the Green Machine won the ball and ran up the center of the field with only two protectors. Sure enough, the Gnash stopped them again, but with still not enough power to get the ball back, the Green Machine's blitzer picked up the ball and ran it into the endzone with two turns to spare.

The Gnash failed horribly in their attempt to score back and thus the half ended 1 - 0 against the Gnash.

The second half started with the Green machine getting a perfect defence, and the Gnash were further in the hole. Things looked bad, but the Gnash picked up the ball as they suceeded everything they did on that first turn, the key to scoring back. With a quick switch play to Sollong, a wight, Sollong ran up the pitch, unopposed for the Green Machine had put almost their entire team on the LOS. The Gnash was able to pin down all but one opposing player, and that one player sure enough blitzed his way through and then went for it twice to put a tackle zone on Sollong. But, with the re-roll, Sollong dodges for the score.

Then, in an attempt to win the match, the Green Machine left their blitzer exposed, and the Gnash popped the ball lose form him. Even with the Orcs pressing hard, Butch, a Flesh Golem, picked up the ball. This deciding moment was the final key for the Gnash preserving the tie. The Orcs were unable to get the ball off him and on the last turn, he passed it to a team mate upfield to ensire the draw. In all, a solid effort on both side's part, and the tie was well deserved by both teams, as neither one was really the dominant team. 1 - 1.

We managed to get a comment from coach Oblitzamanger after the game. He said, "I want to thank coach Jenerickat for the match and wish him good luck with his team. He is welcome to a re-match. I thought both teams did well as they each had a half of good luck, and one of bad luck.

"I am sad that we have been unable to *ahem* supply new zombies for ourselves as Clemesh, a Zombie, was killed. He has already experienced death, but he took the hit so hard that the brains were knocked right out of his head! Too bad. I'm sure we'll be able to get a new Zombie sometime...

""The team has some weird skills now, I know. I took dodge on Fenogle because his main purpose is to dodge in and out after blitzes. Still, the team has trained together so well that they got a new re-roll, bringing them to 3 total. This team is as strong as I wanted it to be and I am hopeful about them in the Blitz Invitational despite the fact that they have a hard time earning points. They need to win their next game to get some serious points, but that may or may not happen. Right now, I still think they have a shot as long as they don't pick up any serious injuries in their next game."

He then ran off to the center of the pitch to make a sacrifice to nuffle right there and then. He made it with a full and hopeful heart, thanking Nuffle for his luck and hoping for more and better things to come...

We also got a statement from Smashine, the team's guarding Flesh Golem. He said this, "I guard them, they hit them, we bash them, we eat brains tonight."

We tried to interview Sollong, but he was too shy to speak...
