“If you want a more tighter game, don't challenge a team that has 12 lower TS, and still YOU get 2 handicaps, and coach rating is 140, and team's win percent 29. Had to try to play physical when catcher (possible one-turner) got I am the Greatest (and niggled, so I didn't want to use apo on him). Was bad choice because I didn't need apo in the game, and catcher is worth 250k... Easy to tell after the game what should have been done. But when I didn't even get to score 10 vs 2, how could I have won this game with those dice rolls any way... 100th game for the team. Robert Stewart - 8 fouls. Yippee!”
was hopeing for a game of bloodbowl.. and got something entirely different.. but zerkalo is if nothing else atleast very consistent.
I score a quick td after 2 turns, zerkalo recieves and by some reason leaves his ballcarrying thrower out in the open for my wardancer to sack the rest of his team is busy fouling my treeman. I sack the thrower ofcourse and proceed to score 2-0. Zerkalo recieves againthis time he does pretty much the same thing except he puts his thrower slightly further back, I stick 2 guys next to the thrower and forms a screen with my players between his group of palyers fouling my tree and the lonely thrower. Zerkalo in his turn proceeds to blitz one of my guys in the screen.. when the blitz fails to result in a pow he rerolls it with 2 of my woodelfs still sticking to his ballcarrying thrower he still manages to dodge away and pass to a free guy who i sack with my wardancer, and send the ball upwards for a third td, fourth td comes after a blitz.
After that Zerkalo announces that: ohh seems i cant win anymore, guess ill just kill some guys. Then he proceeds to do pretty mcuh exactly what he's been doing so far. Thanks to some pretty amazing elfball skills i nearly manage to score a 5-0 td with my 2 remaining elfs but in the end i have to settle for the 4-0 score..
was a strange experience.. but i was hoping for a game of bloodbowl so im slightly dissapointed
Update: ofcourse you should play physical when facing woodelfs, but when you don't even attempt to protect the ball there's no way whatsoever for you to win games, I dont check my opponents cr before i challenge, and usually i dont have to bother checking cr, evryone.. from cr 130-190 tries to play bloofbowl, this here was something different. This has nothing to do with me wanting a tighter game ( although it could have been tighter if you'd bothered actually caging up around your ballcarrier and maybe used only 3 or 4 assists on your fouls) If you make up your own goals for your team, like for example, see if i can foul 8 times with the same guy, or see if i can clear the pitch of elfs, without caring that in the meantime the elfs scvore 3 or 4 times, then it's not a game of bloodbowl but a waste of, atleast my, time. ”
