Luck meter is slightly out as the game crashed after one player had moved in the third turn first half - my flaky dialup disconnected on me. Well my in-law's flaky dialup. Can't wait to get home and onto my cable again heh. Just before the crash, the luck reading was 72-56 in my favour.

Handicaps were:

Doom and Gloom (leaving me with 2 RR first half)
I am the Greatest
Buzzing (given to Str4 Blodge lineman)
Knuckledusters (given to a Blodge Tackle MA8 Sidestep Blitzer)
Palmed Coin

The Guardians entered the match with 2 players missing the game - their Str5 Mighty Blow Wardancer and their 171 SPP Kicker.
------------
A fun game against a very fun coach.

The AeroDynamite started in offence, but had their Dauntless Catcher stunned by a thrown rock! This put a big thorn in momfreeek's plans as he had lined him up against my Treeman!

My opponent soon panicked and did an unintended once dice block on the LOS heh. It came up Skull/Pow, oh so close :) Next block however paid dividends as a 78 SPP Blodge Sidestep Lino was badly hurt.

My opponent did not manage to push far and the Guardians had some very nice luck with their first defensive turn. A blitz on the Knuckleduster bearing Blitzer brought a knockdown and Mighty Blow gave +1 on roll of 8 for armour and the end result was badly hurt!

The AeroDynamite pushed forward a bit more only to have their catchers surrounded and the only block by the Guardians on turn 2 netted another Badly Hurt. Wow what luck heh.

Then the AeroDynamite panicked again and did a 4+ (maybe a 5+) dodge that was not necessary and fell over! This gave the Guardians a one dice blitz on the ball carrier. Skull rerolled into Pow and the ball was sent out of bounds and tossed back in.

The AeroDynamite failed an early dodge and used their team RR before recovering the ball. The Guardians knocked down the ball carrier and the ball was free, allowing a 2+ pickup by their Thrower who then made a 2+ pass to a catcher to snatch the lead.

The AeroDynamite got a quick snap on the next drive and pushed forward deep with 3 Catchers. The Guardians covered everybody giving a 3+ chance to score after catching the ball, but a the AeroDynamite got a Pow on two dice without tackle and no dodge was required for the simplest of scores to equalise!

The Guardians lined up and had some awful blocks on offence and could only get two Catchers through.

The AeroDynamite were able to cover them both and then managed a one dice Pow to put a Diving Tackle on the Guardians ball carrier, then a misclicked dodge meant the Diving Tackle was gone again lol. Was not a critical misclick though, as I could easily push the Blitzer away by blocking up the two Sidestep squares that would leave him still next to my ball carrier

Anyways, with the dice being unkind, the Guardians had few options but to hope for a change in luck and it came! A 4+ catch without reroll followed by a 3+ and 2+ Dodge (with the Dodge skill) gave the Guardians the lead late in the first half.

With one turn left, the AeroDynamite did a one dice blitz against my Str4 Thrower and it came up a Skull LOL. momfreeek forgot my guy was Str4 heh.

Second half the Guardians started in offence. An early double skulls limited the offensive options and in the end the Guardians scored with a backup play using a Catcher that was 11 from the end zone. My opponent said at the time that he sidestepped wrongly, but looking at the replay, there was no where he could have gone on the first sidestep to make it any harder for me to score.

At 1-3 down the AeroDynamite got another Quick Snap. However, some greed cost them the ball as they rerolled a Block instead of taking a Skull/Pow that was enough to down my rookie Catcher to try and get a Pow or Dodge/Pow instead to give an assist on the block on the player behind. The result was a Double Skulls and the Guardians swarmed through, stole the ball and formed a cage!

The AeroDynamite applied the defensive pressure and the Guardians did not try to score after using their RR early on a failed GFI. The AeroDynamite set up a two dice Blitz without tackle and knocked the ball free and passed it downfield.

The Guardians were not perturbed as they could blitz the ball carrier who did not have Dodge. Except they snaked their dodge to set up a two dice hit and it was an easy recovery TD for the AeroDynamite heh.

With 3 turns remaining, the Guardians sent four potential scorers into the opponent's half. The AeroDynamite knocked one of them over and put covereage on the other three.

The Guardians consolidated the ball in their own half, then failed a 3+ Dodge with RR and soon found they only had two potential scorers - one standing in two tackle zones and the other on the ground next to a Tackle + Diving Tackle player. A one dice pow by my opponent also put a tackle zone on my Blodge Thrower.

The Guardians played safe by blitzing the most likely player to score (AG5 NOS) then put Diving Tackle and Tackle on the last AeroDynamite player in reach of the end zone. Now for the winning play... the Catcher with Dodge made his 3+ and 2+ dodges to get to the end zone. Now the Ma9 Thrower's turn. Just a 2+ to set up a 2+ pass with Pass and Catch rerolls...

Snake-eyes!

Luckily there were Guardian players near the ball and the pass attempt (4+ with RR) was failed and the Guardians escaped with a win.
--------------
A very fun match against a very fun coach. We both had a lot of laughs. My opponent made a couple of really silly moves in the first half to give me an advantage. momfreeek says he doesn't know why, but he always saves the really silly moves for when he plays me heh.

Second half he played a very good game without any major errors, only his Turn 16 score attempt might have been better (4+ dodge first with the potential scorer, then the AG5 Catcher has a 2+ leap to the ball, 2+ pick up and a 3+ pass at range 8 if no GFI attempt).

Still at the end of the day, neither team got any permanent injuries and we both got some money and no FF loss so a great day out :).

I got a lucky 6 for my winnings and also a 5 or 6 to get 30 FF. Add the lucky 168 gate from 41 dice and I can't make a single complaint about the luck today :).

Anyways, look forward to playing momfreeek again in the future. Good luck till then buddy.
