Johann looked up at him.
"Erh..." Gunnar cleared his throat. "Someone has stolen Edwinas helmet."
Johann's eyes shut very slowly and opened even slower.
"Are you saying one of the rats stole it?"
"I don't know," Gunnar answered.
Johann thought for a while.
"And why are YOU reporting this to me? Are the girls changing armour in your lockerroom again?"
Gunnar backed a little.
"Well," he said. "That's the only place they've got."
He looked around, nervously.
"So it can have been one of you who have stolen her helmet?" Johann accused.
"Well, yes. But why shoul..."
"Aha!" Johann interrupted. "Edwina won't get a new helmet, and none of you will get dessert until the old helmet is found!"
"But..." Gunnar started.
Johann gave him a cold stare. The kind of stare that you might get if you're a field-mouse, and the one staring at you is a snake.
Gunnar nodded and backed out of the office.
