“Coach Maul had his players running extra drills this week in an effort to increase their fitness levels and stamina, and it paid dividends for him in this match.

The Amazonen won the toss and elected to field the first kick. They mis-threw the ball on the first turn which enabled the always agile Talons to swoop in and switch the play to offense and a lightning fast TD to Tellaveine the rooky Lion Warrior. With Kyall, their star thrower and court-general missing the game due to innjury it was up to the rank and file to pick up the slack and start throwing. which luckily they were able to do for the main part.

Coach Natasake then led his women on a long slow and drawn out drive up the field. The fans expressed their dismay when he instructed his team to stall for 4 turns at the end of the first half before running (stepping) the TD in.

The Talons recieved the kickoff in the second half but were unable to force a chink in the Amazon front line and the drive stalled. A fumbled long bomb saw the ball dropped deep in their own half and surrounded by scantily clad oiled up women. The Amazons then wrestled control of the game, keeping the Talons on the ground for long periods.

Staggeringly, Coach Natasake instructed his females to again stall the game out. Everything was going to plan before Celestine was able to wriggle his way free on turn 6 and blitz the obliging amazon ball carrier. He cpmpletely crunched her 1 on 1, knocking her out and regathering the ball, having to stand strong with no support and face the blitz that was sure to come next turn. Luckily it never eventuated as Ingrid fell over dodging her way towards him. He was then able to make a swift run for the hand off to Feilon II who took the ball under arm and made the short pass to an open Athol Tel.

He made a safe run down the flank and out of reach of all opposition. Turn 8 and the crowd gasped as he looked like he was going to fall a yard short of the TD before the refs whistle. but no! he was able to push that extra yard and keep his feet and fell over the line to score the game winning touchdown. Victory snatched from the jaws of defeat.

Decent winnings but dissapointingly the effort was not enough to inspire more fans.
No SI's and the Apothecary was able to reverse the only Death. The Talons will almost have a clean sheet for next game.

Athol tel gained block from his experience in this game and Hallon, after alot of upperbody work in the gym, is now able to guard his brothers more effectively.
