“GLT II Qualifer 9 Game - Round 1

The Guardians were not going to play, but with the Qualifiers an hour late already, and a coach accidently applying with two different teams and needing one to be replaced, the Guardians hopped in to get the tournament started.

Handicaps were:

Palmed Coin
Smelling Salts
It Wasn't Me
I am the Greatest
can't recall last one

A very difficult match for my opponent as he had just the one Tackler.

My players were able to take out his two DP Skinks early. Also a Blitz! early in the game gave the Guardians a huge advantage and they eventually finished with a 2-0 lead at half time as they stole the ball a second time using a Lightning Bolt to stop the score.

The Lizards got on the board late in the game when the Guardians rolled snakes on a GFI to blitz his ball carrier with 2 dice (I had no tackle, but he didn't have block). This caused a -Str on my Str4 Thrower with 2 turns to go. Ouch - apoth used.

The First and Last pushed one of the Guaridans players out of bounds late in the game (turn 15) and seeing that the Lizards meant brutal business still with the winner already decided, did a turn 16 foul on BooAhl's only tackler (no damage).

BooAhl returned the favour by fouling one of my Wardancers but luckily for me, no damage either.

NOT criticising anyone here, make that clear.

Was very unlucky for BoohAhl that his opponent applied with two teams and had to be substitued and he ended up with me instead of a bottom 4 CR coach.

He really didn't have much luck today during the game as I pretty much ran amok with my developed players whilst I cleared the skinks away.

Understandably a very frustrating match. 90K might help with XFL Lizardmen though so not a total waste of an hour and a half for my opponent.
