The Skaven scored on a quick counterattack in the second turn, stealing the momentum from the naughty elves. The faeries equalized quickly and it seemed like it was going to be a match full of two-turn scores. Turns out that it was just such a match, except the scores weren't back and forth. Skaven are just brutal to equalize against as the only viable defence for the rats is to try to sack and score again. Meanwhile, the elves' attempts to make plays forced more dice rolling and all the crucial rolls went badly for Bench. The luck meter may seem close, but everytime the Gutters pressured the dark elf passer, the vermin snatched the ball and sped away while the faeries kept failing to get critical knockdowns.

Full credit to Bench who endured probably the most frustrating and joyless game he's played with good humour and sportsmanship. ”
