Nuffle was ready to sit down and watch a game of Blood Bowl. Looking at all the games available, he choose to watch a Chaos team and Lizardman team try to pummel each other. He was in the mood for blood, and the Lizardman team had suffered a few deaths in their last few games. As he watched from his high perch, he saw the four Gods of Chaos heading towards the game. Then, Sotek appeared at his shoulder.

"Oh great and powerful Nuffle, are you going to let those four monsters ruin a perfectly good game of Blood Bowl for the Lizardmen? Please, stop them," pleaded Sotek.

Upon hearing this from afar, Tzeentch turned and argued to Nuffle. "I am only responding to the prayers of my players, whom I hand picked. Would you not let me respond to them?"

"Don't!" cried Sotek and then Tzeentch turned him into a frog.

"Allright! Enough. Change him back, Tzeentch," said Nuffle in his almighty voice. "No God other than myself may interfere with the game. Is that clear?"

"But there would be much more carnage if we were to help," protested Tzeentch, who still hadn't changed Sotek back.

"I will make sure there is plenty of death myself. Now go back to and tell the other three they are not to interfere. And I will know if you interfere for I will be there myself."

Thus, Nuffle had spoken. As he was deciding which form to take, Tzeentch (reluctantly) changed Sotek back and went to catch up to the others.

The locker room was silent as each player prayed to his diety. Even Coach Obliztamanger was silent as he was fearing for his soul. The captains went to the coin toss, and came back reporting they lost and would have to kick off.

"Great," thought Oblitzamanger to himself. "If the Gods were with us today, we would have won the coin toss. I have a bad feeling about this."

The team lined up to play, and just as the starting whistle was blown, a small rock pierced Beastman Phormat Wadskin's collar bone. He screamed in pain as his shoulder bled. The medics rushed him off the field, and Coach Oblitzamanger put his head in his hands as he knew there would be no heavenly help today.

"GRAAAAH!" roared Nuffle from the stands. He had assumed the form of a Chaos Warrior, and his rock had almost killed the poor Beastman. "Just a little higher and it would have gone straight through his neck..." he said out loud.

"Hey! Don't hurt our own players!" grunted a big Beastman fan who was sitting next to him. Nuffle turned and stared him down and the fan backed off. Everyone gave Nuffle a little more room.

In the sky, Nuffle could hear Khorne's cries. "That Beastman must have been one of Khorne's followers," Nuffle thought to himself. "Too bad. I dare him to come down here and do something about it."

Just as he had thought that, he could see the sky blacken. Khorne's mighty stead pierced the clouds as Khorne himself, larger than life, began to ride down to the game. Nuffle sighed and stopped time for a moment. He then assumed his full size (still in the shape of a Chaos Warrior) and went to talk to Khorne.

"I told you not to come down here," he bellowed.

"But you nearly killed my player!" Khorne yelled back. Nuffle grunted even louder. "Fine!" Khorne said. "They can lose this match. Just don't kill or seriously injure anyone. Those are our best warriors out there you know, and we would be VERY displeased if you hurt them. You may reign over Blood Bowl, but we rule the battlefield. Remember that!"

"Fine. You have a deal," said Nuffle. Then he re-started time and went back to being a normal sized Chaos Warrior.

"Whoa!" said the fan. "The sky was black then it became clear again. I bet the Gods had something to do with that..."

Nuffle just muttered, "You don't know the half of it, weakling..."

"What did you call me?" roared the fan. But he didn't get a chance to move as Nuffle struck him down with one blow of his fist. The other fans backed away even more.

"At least there will be one death here today," he thought as he turned his head from the limp corpse beside him to watch the game.

The Pros kicked off and tried to surround the Lizardmen. But, when a Saurus badly hurt Beastman Orgot Crushpain, captain of the Khorne sect (much to Khorne's disdain), the defense was easily broken and the little Skink Medium Roy scampered through the line and scored. 1 - 0 Skinking Feeling

The Pros were not finished however, as they caged up and walked down the pitch as best they could. But the Lizardmen defense was too good. Thus, Nurgle follower Linger Grrealment was forced to pass it off to Slaanesh follower, Vanith Dartlett. But a Saurus came at him, swinging it's arms wildly and knocking him with his back at the sideline. Vanith tried to blitz his way out of trouble, but the Saurus hit first with a shot straight to the face. The impact would have killed poor Vanith had Nuffle not slowed the fist down. Thus, Vanith left the ball and the pitch very bloody as he reported to the badly hurt box, where both Phormat and Orgot greeted him with howls of pain. Halftime: 1 - 0 Skinking Feeling

At halftime, Coach Oblitzamanger gave his team a pep talk. It didn't amount to much however, as the eight Beastmen left were too busy trying to figure out why their Gods hadn't helped them out yet. Olmstead Everchange was saved in that half by the apothecary from suffering a fractured leg. With no apothecary left, Oblitzamanger just had to rely on luck to stay alive.

The second half was no better for the Pros. Although Nuffle kept his promise that there would be no injuries or deaths, he was still not satisfied and allowed another Beastman to go down. This time, Nurgle was enraged as one of his favorite players, Selex Inboil, was the victim. And it still seemed as if they could not pierce the Lizardmen armor. Nuffle had chosen his side.

After a mistake by Coach Deadjon, the Pros were allowed to advance even furthur upfield. It would have taken just one dodge for Slaanesh follower Hormesh Tearmouth to score. Hormesh prayed to the diety for help to stay on his feet as the Saurus tried to knock him down. But Slaanesh was unable to come to his aid, and he tripped and fell, dropping the ball and the Pro's chances of even drawing the match. Another little Skink got his hands on it and ran it downfield for their second touchdown. 2 - 0 Skinking feeling

However, Nuffle felt sort of bad for the team, not because they lost or suffered great pain, but because he had reduced the four powerful Gods of Chaos to whimpering children. Thus, in order to avoid their full wrath, he gifted the team with plenty of money from the stadium's owner (much to the owner's dismay) and made all of the fans forget the game, so that they would not be disgusted with their team's performance that day.

Nuffle left the game very tired. "That was way too much work just to watch one game. I had better rest by going to see another game, this time without Chaos involved..." And the great and powerful Nuffle departed the gridiron.

"Now I know that we lost this match guys, but it was only because they had stronger players than us," said Coach Oblitzamanger.

"No," said Olmstead Everchange. "It was because our Gods abandoned us. They left us to die and we were lucky we didn't" he said with disgust.

Just then, from the corner of the locker room shone a birhgt light. it spoke with the voice of a thousand warriors, yet sounded so sweet that it lulled everyone's ears. "There are things that are even beyond the powers of he Gods of Chaos. Do not be discouraged about this game, for they were unable to help you. However, Nuffle himself was on your side, believe it or not, and you can thank him for your lives."

Everyone was flabberghasted, but they all knew it was a God speaking to them. The voice continued. "Oblitzamanger. I trust I will see your paycheck from this game in my hands later today. And there is one more instruction for you. Waiting outside of this stadium is an Ogre. His name is Dur'lunk Evileye, and you will hire him for your team. He doesn't speak; only grunts and roars. But he is very strong. You will hire him."

"Yes, my Lord," said Oblitzamanger, bowing his head.

"Now go forth and do my bidding. Hormesh, I'm counting on you to teach Evileye how to play Blood Bowl my way."

"Yes, Lord Slaanesh," replied Hormesh.

"And make sure he hurts people. With him on your team, I am sure you will be even more feared."

"Yes, my Lord," replied the team as the light disappeared.

"Well, you heard the God. Let's go and find this Evileye," said Coach Oblitzamanger. Inside he was smiling. He would not be punished for this loss and he would get a new and strong player. And although this game went horribly wrong, the Gods of Chaos were still with them...
