“A game played effectively nearly entirely on the ground, surprising really as Igancio Iluminus is a renown passer with a strong arm, but for some reason he did not dare hoist a single bomb in the game. Appart from that bizarre fact and that the humans adopted a dwarvish style of play - the game was dominated by Frederic de la Grange - he scored a TD and ran for a total of 24 fields. Other tops performances were put in by the two catchers comping for a further 19 fields -- overall rushing humans 43 fields, dwarves 29 by the way.
There is a not unrealistic rumour going around though that the Dwarves were not that keen on winning really but from about halfway through the 1st half had found that a huge winnings pot (110k gc) was available and paid much more attention to making off with most of it!”
