“Yet again I find myself robbed of a tournament victory by Nuffle. This one nearly had me cryi...ehm, I mean smashing my keyboard in the end. What started out promising with Moz lining up both fanatics and them knocking themselves out turned nasty towards the end.
Moz should call himself the one hit wonder, because the amount of insane blocks that went his way is just unbelievable. Not only did his 1 die blocks turn out great, but he also made a lot of -2 dice blocks throughout the match and they never ended up badly for him. His 2 HIT -2 die block on my squig hopper in the end was part of how he robbed me of my deserved win.
It didn't help that I rolled tons of 1's for my bloodlust rolls, despite pocketing my squigs when I didn't need to use them. A lousy KO recovery rate on the thralls also thinned my team out incredibly fast. Not to mention that my squigs must have used nail clippers on their claws.
Moz scored 2 TD's, both rather similar to each other. He dodged into the square with the ball, picked it up despite me having guys guarding it, dodged out, succeded with hand-overs and passes and generally just tormented me with his good fortune. The TD that brought the match to over time was actually started just a few squares from his own end zone. A totally insane blitz put the ball on the ground and then he managed to dodge and pass his way all the way across the field and run in the ball in a single turn.
I feel like vomiting or something. I'm sure I won't quit playing Blood Bowl, but when I get this kind of tournament results everything just loses it's fun. Hey, it's stunty...well, not quite. This is a tournament, and I want to lose by being outplayed. Not by never rolling above 1.
Sorry for being all piss and vinegar, Moz. I do wish you the best luck in the tournament and it was unfortunate that my only success in this match was that I RIP'ed 2 of your guys.”
