#6 Direbringer Duskcreep – Dead (RIP)
An odd game that started in bright sunshine and finished in ice and snow! As a result neither term really got a passing of running game going and it turned into a bit of bashfest. Happily the Riders started well with a casualty and never let up the pressure. They finally seemed to get tired of being fouled and started to hit back effectively. Our superior tackle and sidestepping defensive skills told in the end, keeping the Orks down on numbers.

3 Points. Head Stompa. Always had to be wary of this chick, both as an offensive threat and her potetial to pop up in unexpected places thanks to stand firm. Was constantly marking my players.
2 Points Bone Krasha. Strength 4 sidesteppers are annoying and while I tried to ignore her as much as I could, it wasnt' easy!
1 Point Back Breaka. As one of the few players with tackle, she was called on to do a lot of the blitzing and she did it well.

Revenge for last season Laviak ! :)

SWL Season XVI - Premier - Round 2

Well, we were completely out-done this match. The first of our casualties was saved by the apoth, the second was in turn 16, so it's needless to say that we were out-numbered for a large part of the game. We were also out-skilled - particularly in the areas os side-step and tackle, both of which are vital when there are so many blodgers on both sides.

We struggled to actually deal any damage, or even knock our opponents over, while they seemed to have no trouble at all. The real problem though, was that with all the sidestep, and the shadowing/tackle blitzer, it was very difficult for us to move around the pitch. In fact, we were pretty much out-classed in every department.

Longshanks played well, and had no trouble taking advantage of the good luck when it came (or the "bad" luck when it came to me) - to be honest, it was more that I was forced to take risks than it was bad luck. No permanent damage, but if they don't start scoring touchdowns soon, then it will be back to the conferences for the girls.

3 pts - #1 Slyblade Spite IV
Two casualties, and two KOs from his 5 blocks. Now, that is quite a conversion rate. The foul was a mere stun, so I'd recommend that he sticks to what he's good at (and that certainly isn't playing ball)!

2 pts - #7 Blackshade Fogdrifter II
These points are all about the defensive work he did in the second half (and the first half for that matter). Blackshade was one of three blodge/ss linemen that was a real pain in the arse to get around. It was tough to pick between them for the votes, but Blackshade's involvement in not one, but two turnovers made him the pick for me.

1 pt - #4 Darkblood Dreadwing
Took out rookie linewoman Knee Snappa in the first turn of the match. The rest of his match was fairly uneventful, but taking out a player in turn 1 gave the Duskriders a numberical advantage right from the start.
