“Well well we knew that they had their idiosyncracies but today's performance was beyond belief again. Everyone lined and it looked like the Carnival was going to run all over the Orcs, blitz before the first move on the greenskin side! But to no avail - Walter decided running is not for linemen, especially when it is not along but over line and dropped down. The orcs simply shrugged and probably thought - "dat hummie iz runnin away".
They started to work a slow meticulous drive, it turned out to be very slow indeed and feel somewhat apart in that there were clusters of green all over the field - no not the pitch, it was another away game for the Carnival and this was playedon bleached earth - but random orcs. In the end one well timed block, a luck bounce and Mario was holding the ball. Surrounded by three orcs he realised his predicament and ran. And he did run well! At the end of run, seeing no help close by he chucked the ball to Bruce who managed to hold on to the ball and then realised what all the pointing was about. Yes Ogre RUN towards the Orc line, no bashing just RUN. The poor chap so astonished when everybody cheered at him for carrying the odd egg thing over the line...
The second proved to be a completely different affair from the first, the Carnival lined up to receive the kick in a very aggressive formation which proved to be their undoing. The kick bounce and ended landing in a totally free square right in front of the orc line. For the next 6 turns Carnivalists continuously threw their bodies at Greenskins only to be KO'ed when Lokaan #5 (not his identically named sister Lookaan #6) finally crossed the line only 5 humans remained on the field.
The orcs cheered and jeered at the human bench when the scored to draw, but that jeering or perhaps something in the water (if it was water) brought every single one of the five knocked chaps out back to game. So things did not look completely unreasonable.
The circus folks sprinted upfield and had 4 players in scoring positions, an amazing dash by one of the orcs straight through the human wall to the Ignacio and a sucessful blitz made the day look much more bleak - although the greenie that tried to get upfield did fall over his own laces (probably due to surprise that his boots had laces). In the dying seconds, the human strength sapped they made a valiant effort to get a catcher free but alas the skulls rolled and so the orcs had one last bash around and the game was a draw.
