Legend SMACK final!

Da Glitz Gitz win their first SMACK trophy! (On a coin-toss, wouldn't you know...)

This was a well played game between two well developed teams. The Dancers arrived with Grim Ironjaw, and da Gitz hired both Ripper and a Wizard.

The Dancers received first and held the ball tight in usual dorf fashion. Come turn 7, they moved a few players into position to reach the end zone. Coach MadTias wanted to lightning bolt the ball carrier, but coach Borgen had cleverly placed him in line with another player, meaning it would be random which player was hit by the bolt. Fireball it had to be instead, and as usual it hit one player out of four. Luckily, blitzer Nuzdrag came through and knocked the carrier down on 1d. The Dancers then had to do a chainpush block to get a player in reach of the end zone, some other blocks to clear the ball, pick up, hand off to AG2 and take one gfi to score. Needless to say, they did. Da Gitz' flying gobbo attempt then failed miserably, as Rinsy didn't catch the hand-off. 0-1 at halftime.

Da Gitz scored 1-1 pretty fast in 2nd half, going down one side while Ripper and friends tied up a lot of players on the other. Dirty Thrower Thrako also put a permanent end to opposing DP Tango. The Dancers then couldn't move enough players up fast enough to score back, but neither could da Gitz get their hands on the ball. 1-1 at full time.

Both teams went into OT with full squads and 4 RR. Da Gitz received first and did exactly the same as before: a fast drive down one side to score 2-1, while Ripper and friends tied up players elsewhere. The Dancers had 5 turns to score back, and when they started their drive with removing three Gitz players from the pitch, it looked hard to stop them. Coach Borgen made no mistake and could easily score 2-2 in the last turn. The coin-flip then made da Gitz champions.

GG Borgen, well played. See you around.

...by the way. I can't BELIEVE what Frankenstein did.
