“What can I say? The tone of this match was set on Turn 1 - Brief Rays of Hope for the Elves to be crushed into fine powder by the ravages of poor rolling and Brutal Chaos blocks.
The Elves start the game with a Blitz that sees them in possession of the ball and well on the way to a turn one score. As if sensing the smiles on the 'Hawks faces, The Grim Reaper swooped in crush that glimmer of hope with an RIP in the first volley of blocks. But still there was hope. Falnerith was on her way to score with only one square to go... Did someone say Hope? We'll have none of that! Falnerith trips on the goal line and spill the ball on a re-rolled GFI. The Cleaning Products then bruised their way down the field issuing Luinnel her second Niggling Injury and put in a Turn Six score.
Still, two turns is plenty of time for the Elves to score and so set to it they did. Illuriel streaked down the sideline ready for the tying score. Aelinna and Celendriwe each made truly Elven efforts to get the ball in Illuriel hands, only a re-rolled 2+ catch and dodge later Illuriel would be in the endzone...but no! We'll have none of that! Despite all probability Illuriel dropped the ball... Wretched Chaos gods and their wretched interfering!
Despite all of these catastrophe, the 'Hawks are only down by a goal at the half. Surely normalcy would ensue....
At this point, I think I have to point no further then the names of my fine opponent's players to sum up the situation in the second half.
Great Game played by travistramelite and his wretchedly ugly crew.
Oh and Rotters are strength 4. For those of you who pay attention to those things... I know I don't.”
