“Team rating and strength wise the gobo and norse teams seemed as even as they get, but there is no denying every gobo on our favorite team were pretty shaky about this match. A full cadre of block norse and a piling ogre able to take out their own big guys could only mean bad business.

Things looked worse as Nuffle rewarded the receiving to the norse, who didnt waste any time advancing with the ball in a pretty forward tight cage into gobo territory. However, being pestered from behind by gobo outrunners and Grumpy throwing a multiblock from the front disrupted the norse, who took unnecessary chances and the ball fumbled.

Doing a bit of stalling with the ball near norse end zone the plan was to let Grumps and Splooge clean out the norse while Helmet Harry kicked some groins (Harry was awarded the MVP for his masterful foulplay). The plan worked nicely except for a turn8 doubleskull which meant a turnover and no score. Stupid greedy coach.

In the 2nd half the match continued in tight blocking situations which somehow the gobos managed to live through, well except Obo who got squished. In the end the gobs managed to snatch up yet another stray ball and score for a 1-0 win. ”
