Well, this game started bad and went to worse in a hurry...
The very first block of the game resulted in a death...apo worked...next block kills Richelieu...should have known form there it was not my day.
Pete takes his time and scores his turn 8, and a failed TTM end the first half.
Second half starts wilh a second ttm attempt that works, and hope returns.
Hope is not only lost, but it is brutally assassinated when not only does the kick deviate 6, and bounce oob for a touchback, the ref decides to allow the Dwarves to pay him off...by the end of his turn 2, Pete has left me with only 3 ogres on the pitch, and he also 'sinks' the Bismarck for good, killing him.
At that point, with victory impossible, I decide that cowardice is the better part of valor, and OGRES, by God, Ogres, lay on the pitch, not getting up to merely preserve their lives.
Pete scores the winning TD turn 8, skilling up a lino.
To his credit, Pete certainly could have fouled 5 more times, but he declined to do so,as my team was absolutely whipped by that point.
So congrats to Pete, may I be the first to salute the inagural DieHard Champion, and also a salute to Lord Chaos, for runnng a tourney sucessfully that will hopefully be running for a long time...count me in for next year for sure!!!

The dice decided that I would win and the casualties were the fruit. To his credit, Patton played better than I did and he managed to blitz my runner, but I was always able to reply, usually with a RIP.
