We were beaten today by the most skillful team we have ever played - the Stormblades have some really talented players. Their star catcher and blitzer caused so many problems for us. Things really go our way in the first half. Augustus Smoove in his debut before he moved was seriously injured in the first block of the game - I don't think he'll stick around! We didn't get the ball out of our half the entire game it seemed. Early on we tried to pass our way out of trouble but we were undone by elves with the knack of running into the way. Later in the half we had a great chance to break but our blitzer was clumsy, dropped the ball which was then thrown into the hands of the opposition who easily scored. The second half saw our ranks crumbled and we were outclassed. By the time it was 4-0 we had most of the team back but they really had lost their heads and didn't know how to get the ball out of their half. Back to the drawing board for us and I'm sure the Stormblades will continue to be successful. In total astonishment our fan factor went up. Perhaps we shoud lose 6-0 more often.”
