“A very tough game on the Reptiles :( 2 SI, MNG, 1 N, and 1 dead skink...
The Repiles kicked off the game and were able to get the ball away from the Orcs and score on turn, but in the process losing 3 players to injuries, 1 ko'd... Outnumbered 7-11 on the next kickoff, the Reptiles put up a fight and took the ball down to the Orcs endzone but after a few battles, failed to pick up the ball for the score on turn 8 :(
The Orcs Blitzed the outnumbered the Reptiles on the kicked off :( but the Reptiles worked their way through the line, threw the ball down field to no one :) where able to get the ball and score on turn 3 to go up 2-0... Still outnumbered 7-11 the Reptiles put up a fight holding the Orcs from scoring but the Orcs finally got the ball and scored on turn 6...
With the Orcs kicking off and still time to score and still outnumbering the poor little lizards :), all the Reptiles had to do was keep the ball away from the big ugly green guys... With no rerolls, both teams failed alot of 2db's and caused alot of turnovers... And they game ended on a p/s p/s with neither player having block :)
Illaeka who scored both touchdowns got Block :) the teams 1st skilled player...

I should have had sweeps in the backfield, to prevent exactly the kind of break-aways that happened not once but twice. But if I'd had sweeps in the backfield that would be one (or even TWO!) Orcs drawn away from the oh-so-compelling game of "Knock skinks on their asses."
Like I said, I'm a bad person. Or ... maybe it's the Orcs! Yeah! The Orcs made me do it!
Anyway, Quinn was quite a good sport about it all. I'll say, from experience, that rebuilding a team that badly slammed takes less time than you'd think, and the result is often a more keenly honed, more effective set of players. But then, I -would- say that, wouldn't I? Guilty conscience and all.”
